Wouter is an aviation leasing and finance expert with more than 25 year’s experience in aviation finance with a strong track record in global aviation sector transaction including operating leases, debt, mezzanine and equity structures across three continents. In early 2022 he created a new aviation sector decarbonization focused private equity investment and green finance advisory company, alongside Co-Managing Partner David Ploog to form Greenstar Aviation Partners (GAP). At GAP, we contribute to global decarbonization efforts in the aviation sector by investing in and advising on green capital in all forms into new a new generation of aviation entities and assets active across the sustainability and decarbonization landscape – Advanced Aerial Mobility and Zero Emission Flight Infrastructure (ZEFI). We are the “glue” between green aviation opportunities and green aviation capital, utilizing a build and borrow investment strategy.

During his professional career Wouter worked for various aviation sector entities including investment bank RMB (Head of Global Aviation), investment holding companies active in real assets and infrastructure, and an aircraft OEM.

Wouter holds a Master’s Degree in Investment Management (Cum Laude) and is a CFA Charterholder
