Marjan Riggi is a Senior Managing Director and Head of the Aviation, Transportation, and Commercial Finance Ratings teams at Kroll Bond Rating Agency (KBRA). She brings over 25 years of multisector expertise in credit analysis of banks and corporates, as well as securitizations including ABS and RMBS.
Marjan initiated KBRA’s ratings of aircraft lessors in early 2013 and has since developed the analytical framework and ratings of transportation companies including airlines, rail and shipping companies, as well as lessors and other corporates within transportation. She is also in charge of ratings for enhanced equipment trust certificates and other secured transportation financings. Marjan’s other coverage area focuses on commercial finance companies including business development companies, where KBRA has a leading presence in ratings
Prior to joining KBRA, Marjan was a senior credit officer at Moody’s Investors Service with senior lead responsibility for banks and diversified financials, including finance companies, private equity firms, stock exchanges, and other securities firms. Previous to this role, Marjan served as lead analyst in the Structured Finance Group, where she covered ABS and RMBS as well as ratings criteria development.
Marjan began her career as a banking analyst at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and is an active member of the Airfinance Journal Dublin Advisory Board.
Marjan received a B.A. in Linguistics from the University of Kansas and a master’s in international affairs and finance from Columbia University.
